All you need is love! Valentines at The Day Centre…

Our centre now operates on a Monday, meaning we got to spend yesterday getting festive for Valentines with our lovely members… and what a treat that was! Please enjoy the rundown of our day celebrating love!

The day started, as does everyday, with welcoming everyone in, but yesterdays mornings set up looked a little different…

Carers/Cupids Lorna and Nellie, extremely selflessly, came in on Sunday night to completely dress the centre from head to toe in decoration. From balloons, to homemade hangings and cupcakes, the centre had simply been struck by cupid! Not to mention, the table was laid beautifully with a statement bouquet of roses, ready for a special lunch. 

The projection of valentines didn’t stop at decorations, the holiday was filtered through into the activities of the day also. Our members made the loveliest cards with even lovelier words and all spoke about the loves in their lives, it was truly wonderful!

And of course, Valentines isn’t Valentines without sweet treats. Our members enjoyed their cups of tea and coffee with our lovingly baked cupcakes, decorated to fashion.
