Jubilee Scarecrow Competition
Here at The Willows, we’ve spent a countless amount of hours preparing for the Queen Camel scarecrow competition, and now the hard work has completely been paid off!
On the evening of the 2nd of June, Lorna and Anne began setting-up our presentation outside the centre. In previous weeks our members have been painting, cutting, sticking and creating our display in-house and finally got to see it all up and running.
The display was named ‘Back in Time’ and included a carefully crafted lion, dinosaur and, of course, our perfectly stuffed scarecrow! (see pictures below)
Oh.. and we have kindly been lent the infamous silver roundabout camel!
Judges were so pleased with our display, and we received 2nd place prize!
We’d like to give thanks to all for their support, and a special mention to Lorna and Anne who tirelessly put together the display hand and hand with our members!
